Reputed property agents are as much synonymous with real estate as the developers. The Wave Muscat is the winner, followed closely by Cluttons and Al Habib. This is another category where Omani votes got divided between some brands while expatriates overwhelmingly stuck to one brand tilting the scales in its favour.
Home sweet home
GenX seems to prefer The Wave as a living destination, with 20 per cent of the Under-45 respondents naming it as opposed to 15 per cent in the 45+ category. Also more percentage of men (18 per cent) than ladies (15 per cent) among respondents chose The Wave.
Setting aside The Wave, popular among Omani respondents was Al Habib, which was way ahead of Al Qandeel, Al Madina Real Estate and Hilal Properties while expatriates chose between Al Habib and Cluttons.
The dealers
Cluttons was a favourite with the expat population, with as many as 17 per cent of expats preferring it to 12 per cent Omanis. Hamptons, however, held more sway with the Omani crowd, with 8 per cent of Omanis preferring it to five per cent expats.
