Oman LNG and Oman Charitable Organisation (OCO) signed a memorandum of understanding recently to build and maintain 50 residential houses for the needy. The agreement was signed on behalf of OCO by H E Mohammed bin Ali bin Nasser al Alawi, Minister of Legal Affairs and chairman of the OCO, and Brian Buckley, general manager and CEO of Oman LNG, to finance one of OCO's programmes in the maintenance field.
H E Alawi thanked Oman LNG for supporting the OCO's humanitarian programmes. He called on private sector establishments to follow the example of the organisation by providing support for OCO to enable it to fund its various programmes, which are increasing year by year and are in need of financial support.
In return, Buckley stated that Oman LNG has laid down a major plan to support and develop Omani society in various fields with particular focus on humanitarian work. It has set up a special fund to develop society and it will spare no effort to render support for OCO's humanitarian programmes," he added."
